Flora Temnouche’s paintings are stagings, diaries of daily fragments recorded through objects. The objects depicted are imbued with a sense of belonging and act as intermediaries between the closed space of the studio and the outside world. Light, color reflections, and the reflections of something outside the scene are the main mediators between these spaces. Temnouche’s work also evokes moments she has experienced, memories not fully defined, much like her painting which renounces mimetic vocation in order to bind sensations as closely as possible with painting.
